We are pleased to announce the next version of the MaxBack VSS Writer 2.x.

What has changed in VSS Writer 2.3?

Minor changes

• Improved autorecovery
  Downgrade of 3.x feature: VSS Writer will now ensure that the VSS Service is started before autorecovery.
• Check database parameter CacheMemorySize
  When connecting the Writer to the database (connect command) the Parameter CacheMemorySize will be check for the requirements of SAP note 2324249. 
  
  
• Third-party updates
  Update logging framework to the latest version
  Update of service hosting framework to the latest version
  Update of cryptographic tools to the latest version
  
  

Bug fixes

• Disable VSS Writer when credentials not set
  The VSS Writer will no longer report NullPointerException when credentials are not set. Instead it will be disabled for VSS queries.
