Hello,
today we have released the MaxBack VSS Writer 1.1.
With Version 1.1 we added the following features and improvements:
- Failover database support
To enable support for failover databases (more than one host, the database instance may be moved to a failover node), you can now configure the password of the vsswriter user - SAP System copy improvements
The MaxBack VSS Writer now supports triggered Autorecovery (not only by a entire VM restore).
With this feature you can now perform a SAP System copy just by restoring the data volume disk on the target system.
The VSS Writer will do all the magic behind automatically, for example changing the data volume configuration in the database and renaming files and paths to the target database name. - Adoption of Data Volume paths for VSS restore
For VSS based restore (not relevant for Veeam users) the VSS Writer will now adopt the data volume configuration in the target database (for example if a new volume has been created after the backup). - Improved logging
We have cleaned up the logging and separated technical and informational logging information to make it more useful for our users.
The MaxBack VSS Writer is released as version 1.1.2 and contains all patches already available for version 1.0.6.
